Grand Fantasia offers players a variety of innovative and engaging features, including: character and sprite customization, a branching class system, sprite crafting, an incredible menagerie of mounts, player-versus-player (PvP) combat, team-based battlefields, challenging dungeons, epic region and world bosses, a player statue feature, in-game bulletin boards, auction houses, a player romance system, robust guild management and communication tools.

It features branching Class Trees. Begin your adventure as a Novice and quickly gain the option of branching into 1 of 4 classes. Select specialization classes at level 5, 15, and 30 to ultimately choose from a total of 8 character classes. Further customization is available through the Alternate Advancement System. It also features customizable Sprite Companion, this companion can harvest raw materials for you and even craft weapons and armor; player Mounts, choose from numerous mounts, each with unique requirements so players of all types can gain them; and auction House, located in the major cities, Auction Houses serve as a central hub for item sales. Sellers post items for sale and don’t have to be tied down while doing so. Buyers have a central place to look and don’t need to scour player merchant stalls; and an exciting PvP Combat.

There are four class trees, branching into 8 total classes. All players start out as a Novice and can advance their class at level 15, 30, 65.
Currently in the version the final classes are: Archmages (An arcane caster with powerful spells), Demonologists (Casts dark magic and summons the undead to assist their battles), Prophets (Healer and support with a righteous smiting ability), Mystics (Shapeshifters that can adapt three animal forms to their will: Bird, Wolf, and Gorilla), Darkstalkers (A dual-wielding class, capable of extreme sneakiness), Sharpshooters (The ultimate ranged character), Templars (Versatile melee character) and Warlords (Heavy damage melee character).

Developed by Sonovaslag Entertainment for Windows, Shaiya is a free to play MMO where you must slay terrible beasts and wield powerful weapons choosing one of the four difficulty modes (easy, normal, hard and ultimate), one of the most distinguishing aspects. If an ultimate mode player is killed and not resurrected within 3 minutes, that character is permanently deleted.

It features two factions: alliance of Light or Union of Fury. Since these factions are at war, an Alliance player cannot use the game’s chat features with a Union player and vice-versa. The different classes are: Defender, Guardian, figther, warrior, priest, oragle, ranger, assassin, archer, hunter, mage and pagan. Each faction wins blessing points during PvP combat, by killing enemies or by destroying opposing relics in PvP zones. Developed by Nflavor for Windows, Rappelz is a free to play MMORPG. It is set in a medieval fantasy world, dominated by three races: the Deva, who represent light, the Asura, who represent darkness, and the Gaia, humans that possess an affinity with nature.

Choose your race between Deva (light-element race catered more on support and tanking; generally have low offense), Gaia (neutral human race with a balance of offense and defense) and Asura (dark-element race focusing more on offense; low on defense, high on evasion). Use the lak, magical energy from monsters that can be obtained by defeating monsters while wearing the appropriate necklace. This necklace will be available fairly early in the game. Gathered Lak can be consumed if the player dies, preventing him to lose experience points, or can be traded at any Lak Trader for either chips or in-game currency, rupees. Lak Traders also provide the option to buy chips with rupees. However, it is more cost-efficient to obtain chips via Lak.
The oldest race is the Gaia, and to assist them, the gods of Creation and Extinction brought two more races into the world. They were the Deva who represented the Light and the Asura who represented the Darkness. With this, there was a period of peace and stability in the world. As the ages passed by, there was one among the Gaia who called herself “The Witch”. Over time, she grew in tremendous power and with a ruthless ambition, rallied the people of Gaia to rebel against the world. Not all the people of Gaia heeded this call, however, and the world was thrown into chaos. It was only through the combined efforts of the three races of Deva, Asura, and Gaia that “The Witch” was finally captured and burnt alive. It was a victorious outcome of a unity between the three races. Now at the present time, the three races continue to co-exist with each other in the world of Rappelz but dark rumors have surfaced about the second coming of “The Witch” and the return of her terrible forces. The backstory plays a substantial role in the game itself.
